Walls that hold the hill — and the eye
Retaining, garden, and boundary walls built to hold back earth and time.

Brick, Stone & Block Wall Installation — the honest version.
A leaning retaining wall is a slow-motion failure — it means the base, drainage, or reinforcement was undersized from day one. We build walls with the footing depth, deadmen anchors, and drainage chimney that the soil and slope actually demand. The result is a wall that stands plumb for decades, not seasons.
Choose your material with eyes open.
Each material has real trade-offs. Here they are, honestly.
Segmental Retaining Wall Block
Natural Fieldstone
Limestone Veneer on Block
Solid Concrete Block (CMU)
How we build it.
Engineer & Permit
Walls over 4' or carrying a load get an engineer's stamp and a city permit. We handle both.
Footing & Drainage
A poured footing and a gravel drainage chimney behind the wall stop hydrostatic pressure — the #1 cause of wall failure.
Lay & Anchor
Level courses, deadmen or geogrid reinforcement on taller walls, tooled joints.
Cap & Seal
A solid cap sheds water off the top — the face of the wall stays dry and the joints last.
How long it takes.
A 50' garden wall runs 4–6 days. A 4'+ engineered retaining wall runs 2–3 weeks including footing cure and inspection.
No pricing black box.

What clients said after this exact service.
"Jose and his crew rebuilt our pool deck in Oklahoma flagstone after the old concrete cracked for the third time. Three years later it's still perfectly level. They showed up when they said they would, every single day."
"Our 1960s brick chimney was shedding mortar. Jose mapped every joint on the first visit, explained why it was happening, and the tuckpointing match is invisible. Honest guy, no upsell."
Brick, Stone & Block Wall Installation — your questions
Does my wall need a permit?
In Austin and most surrounding cities, any retaining wall over 4 feet tall (or supporting a surcharge like a driveway) needs an engineered permit. We pull it and schedule the inspection.
What's the drainage chimney?
It's a column of clean gravel behind the wall wrapped in filter fabric, tied to a weep pipe. It lets water escape instead of pushing the wall over — non-negotiable on every wall we build.
Can you match my existing wall?
Yes. We source matching or complementary stone and match the joint style so an addition or repair reads as one continuous wall.
