Patios built to outlast the Texas sun
A patio that turns your backyard into the room you actually use.

Brick & Stone Patios — the honest version.
Most patios in Austin fail the same way: sun-baked concrete cracks, pavers sink at the joints, and a thin mortar bed turns to powder in three summers. We build patios the heavy way — a compacted sub-base, full mortar setting, and proper slope so water never pools against your foundation. You get a surface that stays flat, clean, and cool enough to walk on barefoot in July.
Pool-adjacent patios need a 1/4" per foot slope away from the pool and the foundation, a sealed coping edge, and a slip-resistant finish. We detail every one of these on the walkthrough.
Choose your material with eyes open.
Each material has real trade-offs. Here they are, honestly.
Oklahoma Flagstone
Limestone (Honed)
Clay Brick Pavers
Travertine
How we build it.
Inspect & Measure
We check soil, slope, and drainage. A patio that doesn't shed water is a patio that heaves.
Excavate & Base
Dig to depth, lay and compact a crushed-limestone base in two lifts. No shortcuts here.
Set in Mortar
Full mortar bed — not a dry sand set — so the surface stays locked for decades.
Joint & Seal
Grouted joints, cleaned face, and a breathable sealer that won't trap moisture.
How long it takes.
A standard 400–600 sq ft patio runs 7–12 working days, weather permitting. Pool-adjacent work may add 2–3 days for slope and drainage detailing.
No pricing black box.

What clients said after this exact service.
"Jose and his crew rebuilt our pool deck in Oklahoma flagstone after the old concrete cracked for the third time. Three years later it's still perfectly level. They showed up when they said they would, every single day."
"Our 1960s brick chimney was shedding mortar. Jose mapped every joint on the first visit, explained why it was happening, and the tuckpointing match is invisible. Honest guy, no upsell."
Brick & Stone Patios — your questions
Can you match my existing pool coping?
Yes — we source matching or complementary coping and tie the new patio into the existing deck edge so there's no visible seam or trip hazard.
How long before I can walk on it?
Foot traffic in 24 hours; furniture in 48. We seal after a 7-day cure so the sealer bonds to fully cured stone.
Do you handle the permits?
We pull permits when required by your municipality — most patio builds under 30" of grade don't need one, but we confirm with your city before we start.
